"I was so well looked after"

I have just had an operation on my knee. My aftercare on ward 9 in Woodend was fantastic, from domestics to doctors. I wasn't expecting to stay and was originally going to ward 10, but due to having a block in my knee and not having any feeling, I had to stay. I was so well looked after.

I can't remember everyone's names but through the night staff nurse Kathleen was fantastic. We had a patient on the ward who was very difficult and she was amazing with them. The junior Dr was fantastic and still doing a ward round at 2330 at night. In the morning a lovely senior charge nurse Caroline came and introduced herself to all the patients and asked how we are. The domestic in the room was an absolute star and gave me 2 coffees as I love my coffee. She was so friendly and chatted to us all. The physio assistant Sandy was brilliant. Really helped me. Took time with me which I never got when I had my last knee done. And the FY2 Alan is an absolute star. Took his time with all the patients. Even the tricky ones, his bedside manners made them at ease. Thanks to all ward 9 staff for looking after me.
