"Forever grateful for their compassion and kindness"

About: Glasgow Community Services / Family Nurse Partnership

(as a relative),

My dad received palliative care from the Castlemilk district nursing team who we will never be able to thank enough. Not only did they provide around-the-clock care to my dad but they provided support and reassurance to us all as a family. They made the most difficult days bearable and nothing was ever a bother to any of them, especially Heather & Jerri. From the staff nurses, healthcare support workers and students - every member of staff we came in to contact with was incredible. They are an absolute credit to a profession full of heroes and we will be forever grateful for their compassion and kindness.

Dear cmilk24

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I was sorry to hear of your dad's admittance to the palliative care team. I can only begin to imagine how anxious and worried you as a family would have been when he was admitted.

It was however very heart warming to hear of the support and reassurance you received from the Castlemilk district nursing team especially Heather & Jerri who made those difficult days a little more bearable.

I have passed on your thanks to the team who have asked me to thank you for your kind words. It really means a lot to the staff.

Kind regards

Kevin
