"Terrible comms, wasted my time"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I was brought in with chest pains. The tests proved negative but they wanted me to do a stress test to make sure. I was booked an appt and received a letter telling me what to do. It listed medications not to take, but my meds weren’t listed. As I’d been taking them, they couldn’t do the test and the was rebooked for 10 days later. I told them at the time I had a hamstring tear but this was ignored.

A week before the test, the called to check I would be able to do the test with my injury. I went to voicemail and as requested I left my details to be called back. It took over a week and more calls before I spoke to someone. I explained my issue and was told that I should still come in.

I’ve just been in and was told that I would have to run. I said I couldn’t so my test was cancelled. I now have a six week wait for an alternative test to make sure there are no problems with my heart.

This is not my local hospital and it takes a fair bit of time to get here. I’m also taking time off work to come to appointments that are pointless. While the initial treatment was good, I’m very unhappy about the way my follow up appts have been dealt with.
