I wanted to raise that when I went for bloods the nurse/care worker did not even look at me.
The reception staff were helpful at times but I did not feel confident enough to ask questions about my care or waiting times as some of the staff felt unapproachable.
The doctor looking after me made me feel scared when discharged with no further care plan. I then called my GP the next morning who would not see me and I had to call 111 who then sent an ambulance. When I had chest pains that got worse there was noone to support me. I was told my heart enzymes and calcium levels were high to be told if they were one more pound higher they would admit me. I then was seen by another doctor the next day and I was told they was fine. Now I do not know if they was or was not.
I saw patients in the waiting area who were sat with medication being given but not started for over an hour which made me very anxious.
I was left without observations and comments made when they was done that they needed doing regularly.
I heard staff saying it was crazy, a madhouse, etc that made me very concerned about my care and if the unit was safe.
I would be very concerned to attend this a&e again.
"Concerned about my care"
