After an unacceptably long time on a waiting list, I was seen by a fantastic Physiotherapist called Chloe, at Udston Hospital.

As I said, the waiting list for an acute problem is unacceptable, but this obviously is not Chloe’s fault, so I would love to give her a special shout out for being exceptionally kind and thorough in my treatment. I had gone to a private physiotherapist, and it was ok in as much as I didn’t end up off sick, but the examination and treatment were cursory.

So the difference when I saw an NHS Physiotherapist was unbelievable. Chloe was amazing, she gave me a really thorough assessment (It was an hour, so I really felt “listened to”, she was so clear in her explanations, and I was really well looked after. I don’t think my knee will ever totally clear up (joys of ageing) but I am now confident in self management.

Thank you Chloe, and all the staff of NHS Lanarkshire Physiotherapy Dept.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service.

Firstly, let me apologise for the long wait you experienced in order to access our service. Our current waiting time is not what we would like for our patients and reducing this is one of our main priorities at the moment. Please be assured that this is something we are working on and are committed to achieving.

I am pleased to hear about the great assessment and care you received from Chloe at Udston Hospital, and that you are now feeling more confident in managing your knee. Please be assured that I will share your kind comments with Chloe, I am sure she will be delighted to know her efforts have had such a positive impact.

Once again, can I thank you for your feedback and wish you well with the ongoing management of your knee.
