(as a parent/guardian),

My son had a Primary 1 school assessment by a health visitor Sarah. She was lovely & patient with my son, explaining why she was there and what tests were going to be performed.

She took her time with my son and had a chat with myself also.

She’s a credit to the profession.

The school nurses are very skilled at engaging children and young people and helping to put them at their ease, while also providing parents with an opportunity to be part of the assessment.
