In 2020, as we were going into Covid, my husband was taken into Chesterfield with a mitral valve prolapse, and received excellent care on Manvers ward from all the staff, before he was transferred to Northern General for valve replacement. All this at a time of immense stress nationally.
In 2023 , I had AV block and sinus node disease, was seen immediately in A&E, and was in the same ward for 6 days before having a pacemaker fitted.
Again was impressed by the care and positivity shown by all the staff.
The follow-up appointments at the pacemaker unit have been reassuring and friendly .
"Impressed by the care and positivity shown by all the staff."
