"Recovering from an injury and spinal surgery"

About: Bideford Hospital / Therapies

(as a service user),

I fell from a ladder and broke my back, in the beginning I wasn't sure if I'd ever walk again, but following spinal surgery, fixing 5 of my vertebrae together, I began my recovery.

Suzie and the team at Bideford were great at giving me structure and guidance with stretches and exercises to increase mobility and strength.

1 year on and I am still working towards a full recovery but I am now back in the gym, back at work and I have an ongoing plan to continue my journey.

Dear Hawkfj85

Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your experience. I am pleased to hear that your treatment with the Physiotherapy team at Bideford has been positive and hope that your recovery continues.

I will speak to Suzie and the team and thank them on your behalf for their guidance.
