Fairly recently stayed on Ward E2 following a heart surgery complication. I had been moved from another ward. The team were amazing. They were helpful, kind and understanding of how I was feeling.
Whilst sometimes nurses and doctors are unable to give answers , it is so important to have someone sit with you and to feel heard and be empathic.
I was welcomed onto the ward and offered tea, biscuits or/and cake. Whilst a simple gesture, it made the world of difference to me and i immediately felt cared for. I felt in that moment i could breathe again.
This was my experience throughout my stay on E2.
Thank you so much for making a difficult experience more bearable. Whilst making sure your patients are cleaned and have medication on time, the simple gestures make the world of difference.
