I was recently referred to the ophthalmology department (eye casualty) in Belfast after a routine eye exam showed swelling of my optic nerve.
Although the diagnosis was unfortunate, the whole process was very smooth and quick and the staff all took very good care of me so I wanted to say thank you.
They performed lots of tests in a very quick timeframe and were very thorough and careful in their investigation to reach the correct diagnosis.
The nurses were very kind and helpful in the eye casualty department as well. I was nervous in particular for the lumbar puncture but Zone B and Rory were very patient with me.
I do wish the car park was a little easier to access though! Took about an hour just to get in.
