"Treatment brilliant, nourishment dreadful "

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

I was admitted to a and e with what turned out to be sepsis and e coli, I was shipped about to wards 4,5,6,

The level of care was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble from the nursing staff at ever level.

However I have to say the food that was served to me was shocking, the only meal edible was ceareal with milk,

Sandwiches, dinners, salads, soups were simply dreadful, so much so I actually lost 7 pounds in weight in 7 days, jacket potatoes, salads, soups and sandwiches all not fit for human consumption, whoever sanctions the serving of such food needs totally retraining, extras such as salad cream for salads and chipped potatoes were days off being out of date, the taste was putrid and not safe to eat
