"Sexual health screening"

I felt it necessary to receive sexual health screening so contacted my local service provider. I found the experience of making contact with the service difficult. Long waits to be connected, no appointments available but a walk in service offered which challenged my anxiety of queuing up outside the building waiting for the building to be opened.

The day I visited I was number 6 in line.

I was triaged within about 30 minutes and then seen by a clinician within the next 15 minutes.

I was treated with respect. My clinician was polite, professional but also human and added a little humour to our conversation which made me relax.

I had a number of tests completed and it was explained what would happen next.

Overall the service provided from the point of triage was excellent, however I marked down the total experience due to the difficulties in making initial contact, lack of appointments and having to use a walk in service.
