I was put on BP tablets a couple of months ago after a nurse general yearly appointment for my HRT followed by myself recording my BP as requested
I called the surgery for a follow up appointment to give my Bp recordings to which I had a phone appt from a doctor & from this I was put on low BP medication
Again I recorded my BP whilst on the tablets called the surgery to make an appointment to which again I was given another phone call appointment !
The doctor called seemed rushed or I felt rushed asked me you have made the phone appointment request ??
Are you on BP tablets ? she kept butting in & I felt not listened to
I gave a couple of my BP readings to which she said well it hasn’t changed I will up the medication now So she was taking my readings to up medication when I think they should call me in for this to check not just up the dose I also mentioned Loss of weight fatigue and headaches
I felt totally dismissed she was in a hurry and she sounded stressed
In the end I just agreed I didn’t try to say anymore & she said my perscription would be ready to collect tomorrow
I’m someone who does not like taking tablets
So I feel it hasn’t been double checked that I need it to be increased or I would feel happier if it was checked but i felt I couldn’t ask
I
Through this I haven’t seen a doctor face to face once medication has been prescribed by what I’m giving them
"Rushed service"
