I started self medicating for my ADHD at a young age (cannabis) which escalated to cocaine in my mid teens.

Had been in and out of prison throughout my teens, then got this mandatory life sentence. 

Have been struggling with temptation and the availability of drugs within prison.

Wanted to stay clean and in prevention so worked with C.A.R.A.T.S (Counselling, Assessment, Referral, Advice and Throughcare) at stand off sentence, completed f.o.c.u.s offender advisor course.

I have struggled at first, and  so needed to reengage with drug team (now called Inclusion). They have been a real support and have shown genuine care and want to help me, so thank you: Sharron - case manager - and the team as if not for them, would likely have given up the fight.
