After about 3 days of feeling really run down and having similar symptoms and feeling to how I did when I had covid - cough, weak feeling, even travel sickness which I never get - I tested myself which was negative.
I took a few days off work and when I felt better after about 5 days I returned back to work but I had a persistent cough and felt wheezy when I breathed. I've had this before when I had chest infection so I put it down to that. I continued on and hoped it would become better.
After around 3 weeks it was still with me but also I noticed a pain in my chest under my left pecks area, it hurt more as I coughed but hurt even when touched it. I went to the hospital to have it checked out at the A&E.
The staff were extremely fast to do tests such as ECG and blood pressure, both were good. Then I saw a doctor who checked my breathing using a stethoscope, she noted I had chest infection and at my back area there was some crackling. She said I had probably bruised a muscle as I had been coughing quite a while.
I was asked the right questions and felt comfortable asking my questions. I was put at ease and prescribed antibiotics for the crackling and chest infection and also cocodomol for the pain.
