"Caring & understanding A&E staff"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

My daughter recently had a nasty paronychia & I tried to get help initially from my GP, however they have a system which made it very difficult to see a GP. I also tried several pharmacies for help before attending A&E as a last resort.

After a short wait in Paisley RAH A&E, 1hr - 1 & half hour, we were seen by ANP Michelle who was caring, friendly & explained very well what needed to be done and carried out the treatment quickly in a clean, bright  & private treatment room in A&E. Michelle provided us with antibiotics, dressings & aftercare instructions.

Dear A&E Mum (I really liked your username)

Thanks for recognising our fantastic Nurse Practitioner Michelle's care and attention afforded to you and your daughter. She will be chuffed seeing your post, making me even more proud to respond on her behalf.

Hoping it's a swift recovery from what can be a pretty uncomfortable complaint.

Best wishes

Gerry
