"Mental Health Support"

About: Lagan Valley Hospital / Mental Health Psychiatry Outpatients

(as a service user),

Had a difficult experience in my work in that I ended up leaving and receiving Ill Health Retirement. I had to start seeing Health professionals and never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d have to go down this route.

The people I was put in touch with and I ended up having to see for help were brilliant. I didn’t feel judged. They saw that I was genuine and were caring, helpful and encouraging right up until my last session.

Possibly pride had me thinking I’d never have to use these people but I’m thankful they were there for me and helped me through a difficult period.

I would advise anyone struggling in life to avail of these services. They were and are a real blessing. Thanks.
