"Very professional, caring and understanding"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

Knee pain and mobility issues. Initially saw the physiotherapist, who gave me some exercises to complete. There was a slight improvement but not much. Had an MRA scan which showed a extensive Meniscus Tear.

Arthroscopy advised. Did not have to wait too long for this. Arthroscopy completed at Grantham Hospital. On the day I was a little nervous, but all the staff there were great, very professional, caring and understanding.

Was admitted at 7.30am, went down to Theatre about 8.45am., discharged about 1.20pm. No issues at all. Thanks to all the staff there.   The only names I remember are Nicky and Lynn, but as I say all the staff I came into contact with were great

Dear Chris134

Thank you so much for your comments and for sharing your journey which is what we strive to give at Grantham, the best journey you can expect from the NHS. This proves we are getting it right and I will share with all of the staff, who are always so pleased to know patients have taken the time to share with Care Commission. It’s a great morale boost for them

I hope you are recovering well and please take care

KR

Julie
