"Care of my son"

I want to thank our local GP practice. I took my son to the pharmacist for advice this afternoon, as I had seen the on call GP was working at full capacity for the day. I was directed to GP surgery by the pharmacist and phoned the GP surgery late afternoon. The Reception staff were lovely and helpful, not once was I made to feel they were too busy to deal with my late afternoon call, and within about 20 minutes I received a call back and appointment for 4:45 same day. Cannot ask for a better service.

The GP was wonderful and took the time to get my wee boy what he needed. My son says he is his favourite doctor! I want to pass on my thanks to our surgery and all the team working under significant pressure to deliver a really good service. I hear criticisms on our primary care service, but I think ours is wonderful.

Thank you for sharing your experience of you GP surgery.

I am so pleased to hear that the GP surgery was able to fit your son in following a visit to the pharmacy for advice. I am also pleased that the receptionists were polite and kind and not dismissive about an appointment, and that you were able to get one quickly on the same day.

GP’s are independent contractors and are responsible for investigating and responding to any feedback a person may have about the service; they are not registered to respond directly to feedback through Care Opinion. Can I please invite you to contact the Practice Manager to ensure the your kind words and positive feedback gets back to the doctor?
