"Exceptional support from nursing staff"

I was very recently a patient on the acute stroke ward, ward 5, in NineWells hospital.

During my stay the nursing staff who supported my care in this ward were truly exceptional. I had a complex set of symptoms and the nurses took time to fully understand my needs and go out of their way to deliver a very personal level of care.

This support was amazing, and not only helped me improve in terms of my practical needs but also provided a huge mental boost which made a real difference to my recovery. There were many nurses who helped me however Jill and Kirsty stand out as truly exceptional, through their capabilities, their professionalism and their ability to deliver a personal level of care even when working on a very demanding acute stoke ward.

The care I received on this ward has set me up for my next stage of recovery and I am extremely grateful - thank you!
