About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Stroke care (Wards 56 and 68)

(as a relative),

My sister who has additional support needs unfortunately had a big stroke at the end of last year. She was placed in ward 56 for rehabilitation where we met the Physiotherapist team who were so helpful and encouraging.

Helen who was her main physiotherapist, built a rapport with her and even though she was out of her comfort zone with our additional support needs, she really did her best and went above and beyond for her.

The whole team at ward 56 were fantastic and made us feel at ease throughout the 12 week stay in hospital.

Many thanks for getting in touch.

I am sorry to hear about your sister’s stroke and I hope that she is on the road to recovery. I am delighted to read about the care and treatment your sister received from the staff in Ward 56, especially from Helen. I am pleased that the staff were also able to make the family at ease during your sister’s stay as I know it's a worrying time when a relative is in hospital. We really appreciate your feedback and I’d like to thank you on behalf of the Team.
