Been a patient for many years at Urology Leicester General Hospital. Pre-COVID Pandemic you would get regular outpatient appointment cancellations, often near to the appointment date and rebooked after often months waiting to hear of a new appointment date.
Now post COVID it’s dreadful - been waiting for an outpatient appointment to actually happen circa 18 months. Appointments are cancelled within weeks or days prior to the appointment and are always rebooked 3-4 months in the future when eventually you do get a letter rebooking, often after long delays.
A couple of weeks prior to my latest long awaited appointment in late 2023, the cancellation letter arrived and told the replacement was in a 4 days' time which I couldn’t make due to work commitments. Here I am waiting still for a replacement 3 months later and nothing! So it’s 18 months since their first cancellation of my appointment and still waiting!
Something seriously wrong here with the way the clinic appointments are allowed to be cancelled and rebooked now and pre-COVID.
