I went in for minor surgery this week to get a mole removed for a biopsy. It has honestly taken me lots of time and courage to go to the doctors about my mole. I have a real phobia of needles, blood and hospitals which makes me avoid any healthcare related checks.
I wanted to share that the staff - David, Laura and nursing student Millie - were incredible! They were honest about what lay ahead for my procedure. They kept me uplifted and chatted away during which kept me distracted. Most importantly, they were so kind and genuinely seemed to care.
From the minute I was taken in to being walked out, they were all so lovely and caring. I felt I could ask any questions and they were all so lovely during I even forgot I was undergoing surgery at most points! Thanks for such a positive experience - you won’t have any idea how much this has helped me overcome a true fear of surgeries. I’ll now be more confident in future to get health checks. Dare I add that I would even say the experience was enjoyable!
Thanks so much for making such a difference and being such positive lights all 3 of you!!
