I was passing blood and after consulting my GP was referred to Ballochmyle Suite.
From my very first appointment the team that dealt with me showed kindness and genuine care for my wellbeing. They took the time to explain what they were doing and what they would like to do (I am hard of hearing and wear 2 hearing aids) and also allowed my family to attend appointments with me so they were fully informed too.
I had an operation to remove a tumour from my bladder and when I went back for my post op consultation they confirmed it was a malignant tumour, and that they would like me to have a MRI scan and then once they had those results would agree the next course of action. I had my scan within a week, which I thought was great service from the NHS, and a follow up appointment with Ayr the following week.
Happy to advise the scan was clear and at the moment I don’t require any further treatment. They gave me contact details should I experience symptoms again and told me not to hesitate to contact them.
I know I am fortunate that I don’t need any treatment and really want to thank the NHS but in particular the staff at Ballochmyle Suite Ayr Hospital for their exceptional care and attention they have shown me.
