"Positive and caring help and support"

I had a major heart attack after a poorly fitted stent which nearly killed me. After an emergency stent was fitted I still had a pain in my chest and felt weak, tired and constantly worried about the chest pain. My self esteem and confidence were gone, my anxiety, stress & depression were really bad.

I started to attend the Cardio rehab fitness course at Michael Woods in Glenrothes and over the six week one hour classes I feel much better. I don't worry so much about the ache in my chest, my self esteem & confidence are pretty much back to normal & the anxiety, stress & depression are much improved too. Doing the Cardio Rehab course gave me more confidence to start walking in the evening & using my smart watch I am able to keep an eye on my heart rate, which has reduced my anxiety.

None of this would have been possible without the positive & caring help and support from the Cardio rehab team, they are brilliant.

To summarise if you or anyone you know have had a heart problem/attack the Community Cardiac Service are the people to help bring you back to a life closer to the one you had previously.
