"My leg and support from Inclusion"

About: Thurrock Services / Inclusion Thurrock Psychological Therapies Service

(as the patient),

I was told in 2021 that I had cancer, that is how it started. I was left confused and distraught. This manifested into anxieties of all sorts. The thoughts of leaving my family, loosing my legs and more. Thankfully it wasn’t cancer, but in 2022 after 18 months of severe pain, I was told that my surgeon didn’t remove all of the infection in my leg back in 2021 and needed another operation. By this time I was hobbling about and in constant pain. I couldn’t sleep and kept gaining flash backs. I developed really bad OCD too. Terrible health anxieties, I couldn’t step in or out of the house without cleaning myself and having panic attacks. But that changed after medication and CBT with the amazing Ann.

Hi C xx,

Thank you for letting us know about your experience with the Psychological Therapy Service. It sounds like you worked really hard with Anne to reduce the anxiety. It is great to hear that new medication and having CBT with Anne helped. I will pass on your message to Anne and the team.

Wishing you all the best.

Best Wishes,

Ricci Pang
