"Needed to be longer to get a better understanding"

About: Six Degrees Social Enterprise (CIC) / Salford bereavement therapy service

(as a relative),

My husband had COPD for 10 years but after complaining of rib pain for 6 months after 3 hospital admissions was give 3 MRI scans confirming multiple cancers that were beyond treatment. He died 10 days after diagnosis, my world fell apart leaving me completely alone except for 1 friend. I have struggled with my mental health for all of my life and this loss is very hard to cope with.

I have had 6 weeks of bereavement counselling which, although I’m grateful for, needed to be longer to get a better understanding of where my life is now and how to carry on with life
