First of all staff here are great, friendly, helpful and sympathetic. The system works well and I have no complaints at all.

However, I could mention that the waiting room is sometimes a bit cold.

The biggest issue is of course car parking! There are just not enough spaces. A suggestion might be to give patients a car parking permit/tear off slip attached to their initial appointments letter to be displayed on their dashboard - this would stop the public using the hospital car parks as a park and ride car park, which I believe could be happening at the moment.,

Because of modern technology I feel that people are being diagnosed earlier and therefore more people are coming into the system. Therefore we are going to need more toilets and more car parking spaces!

Dear James1, thank you very much for taking the time to feedback your experience of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who would have welcomed you to our department.

It is gratifying to hear that the system works well, managed and served by our Therapeutic Radiographers and Oncology Support Nurses. I will pass on your kind words to them, thank you.

I think you have hit the nail on the head, that as more patients are attending at an earlier stage and treatment practices develop, there is indeed a need for increased / better car parking and toilets. Your suggestion regarding parking slips is indeed something we may investigate taking into account the dual use of the car park with Accident & Emergency. These issues continue to be taken to departmental meetings by our Head of Therapeutic Radiography.
