"Operation cancelled at the 11th hour."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I was due to have an operation a specific day, turned up to the appt, was checked in, and after waiting a period of 7 hours with no food or drink was told that there not enough beds to accommodate and the operation is cancelled.

This is shocking. How our NHS has got to this state is beyond me, especially as we now have the highest tax burden in a cost of living crisis for 70 years.
