There were four people standing around the reception desk staring at me and she asked me my full name which I gave for an appointment at the GUM clinic.
Then she asked for my address and my date of birth as well despite this being confirmed on the phone. I felt humiliated. I was clearly very stressed and unhappy.
I said I wasn't going to do that as I had already confirmed it beforehand on the phone and I wasn't prepared to disclose any more of my private information for the group to hear. I was ready to walk out.
I think it's disgraceful and humiliating and I won't be going to that clinic again.
People should also not be hanging around the receptionist area but the receptionist should have been aware of it. I'm not even comfortable that they heard my name in that clinic and I know for a fact a lot of other people would feel the same way.
