"It is a great service with great staff"

About: Enhanced Care / Community Respiratory Care

(as the patient),

I have been feeling unwell all last year and decided to go to the respiratory classes in the sports centre. The staff were absolutely fabulous, very friendly and so helpful it is a six week course with exercise.

Each week someone comes and does a talk on different issues like the pharmacist and follow on exercise classes.

I would like if it had have lasted longer as it was a great way of mingling with other people who had similar problems, it just went so fast.

On your last day you are accessed to see how much you have improved from you first started and the team keep an eye on you even at home if they feel your not at your best.

It is a great service with great staff.

Hello

Thanks so much for sending in this lovely feedback, it really is motivating to hear how much you enjoyed and felt you benefited from the Pulmonary rehabilitation programme. Its really great you took this major step in helping improve management of your respiratory condition with exercise and education on self management strategies. This really is one of the best evidence based programmes we can deliver for our respiratory patients and I know our Physiotherapy and Nursing staff particularly enjoy this aspect of the job.

You are right 6 weeks does fly in and whilst we would love to have longer programmes this is what is recommended and there are lots of ongoing options available to keep active post Pulmonary rehabilitation, this is hopefully just the beginning. I wish you all the very best.

thanks Again
