About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as a service user),

My GP asked for a second opinion and referral to another health board. This was refused by e-vetting and the referral cancelled and to contact my eurogynacologist I am under. I thought I had a right to a second opinion and to the person of choice under the charter for patients rights and responsibilities.

I have contacted patient affairs and not had a reply back.

I am sorry to hear that you have been unable to get a second opinion despite your GP requesting the referral. Unfortunately I am unable to comment on why this is as Care Opinion is an anonymous site and would require further information which is unsuitable to be published publicly.
