"Disappointed with the absence of communication"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Despite a high PSA reading, urology didn’t see me quickly. Sent me back to the GP, then I had to phone to get an appointment as silence had prevailed.

My high PSA was detected in May and a cancer diagnosis confirmed to me in September with the first hormone prescription started end of September. The various scans were conducted in sequence. I can’t understand why they weren’t scheduled as a block to speed up the process.

I was very disappointed with the absence of communication, the dilatory process and indeed one staff member, who I felt was devoid of compassion and consistently overbearing.

I am concerned about your experience with your prostate cancer care that you have posted. It is difficult to comment any further without more details. It would be good to have the opportunity to investigate.

I would be grateful if you either contact myself directly or go through our complaints team
