"Appointment is far too far away"

About: Aylesford Medical Centre

Called this morning to book an appointment as I have significant back up high between the shoulder blades. Explained my mother had recently passed away due to bone cancer which was diagnosed following a complaint of neck pain and that i was extremely anxious because of this. The NHS website states "Ask for an urgent GP appointment or get help from 111 if:

You have back pain and the pain is coming from the top of your back (between your shoulders), rather than your lower back" The offered appointment is 4 weeks away! This just isn't acceptable

I am sorry to hear that you were unable to get an urgent appointment when you contacted the Surgery. Unfotunately, as your review is anonymous, I am unable to contact you directly. However, if you would like to contact me by emailing the Surgery at gp.g82058@nhs.net I am sure I will be able to book an earlier appointment for you. I will also be able to listen to the original telephone conversation to see why an urgent appointment was not offered. Helen lakeland - Practice Manager.
