"Does the minimum "

About: Banbury Cross Health Centre

Surgery requested I attend for a medication review and bloodtest. Booking appointment was easy. Upon attending, the plebotomist informed me it was for a thyroid level check.

As I am also on statins for high cholesterol I asked why this wasn't included in the medication review. The nurse went off to check but because the forms just said thyroid, that's all they would do.

I was told "if I wanted a cholesterol test I would need to ring and speak to a doctor "

As I was in the Surgery already giving blood, it is madness that enough blood wasn't taken to perform all necessary tests

Dear Andy

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.

I am sorry to note your comments. I cannot comment on the reason your further blood test was not undertaken on that day without looking into this further. There could be a number of reasons and it would wrong to speculate without the full details. Do get in touch with us directly so we can look into this directly for you. Our direct email address is feedback.bchc@nhs.net

Kindest thanks again

Jennifer Nichols
