About: General practices in Lothian

(as a parent/guardian),

My son woke up unwell. I managed to get through to the general practice fairly quickly and was given a telephone appointment where the GP would call me. The receptionist added at the end of the call that if my son became more unwell, to call back urgently, which reassured me. 

The Doc didn't call till about 1230, 4 hours after I initially called, but that was ok. We discussed my son's issues and the GP arranged medication on prescription to be collected in the afternoon. 

We have my son's medication and already he is showing signs of improving, hopefully avoiding going to the hospital. 

Very impressed by the speed and quality of the medical practice.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to discuss his condition with a GP and that the medication was prescribed so quickly. It's nice to hear you have already started seeing an improvement.
