After a long period of waiting in A&E where I was really well cared for, I was seen first thing in the morning by Dr McGuckin, a wonderful colleague of hers (I'm so sorry I can't recall her name) and the most warm and gentle nurse in December 2023.
Honestly, I cannot put into words the kindness, caring and sensitivity shown during my appointment. I was in so much pain, emotional and was so tired, I left instantly relieved and had my experience and pain validated and most importantly medicated!
I was informed of everything that was happening and was clear on the plan. I wish the people who made decisions re: services, pay and conditions could only understand the dedication and skill shown by the gynae department at the Ulster Hospital and act accordingly.
My sincere thanks to the team that treated me, from the lovely A&E doctor who was patient and kind to the gynaecologists and nurse who treated me.
