I belong to Arnewood surgery I have multiple ailments, which they cope with very well indeed. They call me for appointments to check on me etc.
At the end of January, I was poorly with my breathing, I had cancer. I had radiotherapy and radiology killed the cancer but left me with fibrosis.
Getting around comfortably is my biggest problem I get so breathless that I am worn out, getting dressed and walking included. The only thing that really helps is steroid tablets that I can’t take all the time.
I spoke to a different Doctor from my own because I wanted to ask if I could take the steroid tablets again soon. The Doctor said she would send in the Occupational Therapists, which she did!
The very next day one turned up and for some reason she brought me a commode but I have not used it and my cat sleeps on it now. She insisted she bring me a rail. I didn’t want it but she still brought it round and I sent her away. What I did need was a wall mounted shower seat, which was supposed to take a long time to arrive, but it didn’t. At the same time I was sent a lady from social care to see if I qualified for a care - I didn’t.
I was also given, since Christmas, home oxygen - I have a great deal of equipment. The service from my surgery is absolutely brilliant, I don’t need to remind them of anything. They contact me for blood tests, injections and reviews and they are so on the ball which is marvellous. All appointments are always lined up and medications are delivered which is wonderful.
Arnewood surgery is brilliant. My two doctors, Dr Glass my GP is wonderful and Dr Neary is also wonderful.
"Wonderful service"
