(as the patient),

I recently started my treatment.

I think the NHS provide an absolutely outstanding service at a time when there are so many financial, policy and morale difficulties, although I have seen none of those here.

Staff are all extremely cheerful, compassionate and caring.

Mostly all the appointments run as scheduled given the complexity of the equipment and potential breakdowns.

I would like to mention my consultant, Dr Hairuddin, who has been excellent.

The hospital is kept clean and tidy, even though it is huge.

I cannot think of any improvements and I don’t have any issues with car parking as I don’t mind parking out of hospital grounds and walking to the department.

Dear Happy patient1, thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who welcomed you to our department. It is very gratifying to hear that you appreciate our NHS despite the challenges that are so widely publicised. I will certainly pass on your kind words to our staff, your consultant and to our domestic cleaner.

Clearly, you recognise the capacity issues with our car park and I thank you for your understanding. Our Head of Therapeutic Radiography continues to take this issue to departmental meetings.

On behalf of all our staff, I hope you benefit from your treatment and wish you well for the future.
