Since having Covid I have been treated like a pariah by the GP service. They don't want to see me. When I first became unwell, I went to the hospital and saw a doctor, who turned out to be the GP at my doctor surgery. This GP began shouting at me saying -do you really want treatment, are you sure you want treatment-. It was really intimidating and rude and has been a culmination of other things that have happened as well.
I've been so ill, it was touch and go and I should have been hospitalised.
It has been an unpleasant, long period of time since I've been ill. I am trying to get another practice, but it seems like they're closing ranks.
It has been extremely embarrassing and intimidating. It feels like a case of go away, they don't know what to do and think that they have done all they can do which is fine, but it's the bad practice that is the issue and people shouldn't have to go through this. I have been vulnerable whilst ill.
I have been told by one doctor that I am -just unfit-..
As a patient, we are not looking at GP's to make things go away, but it makes a difference when the caregiver gives a listening ear. I have lost a lot through this.
I have lost confidence in the practice and I don't want to go near them or contact them for anything.
