"So grateful for the care provided"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatric surgery ( Wards 3A & 3B)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our 2-year-old son has cranial vault remodelling surgery to correct his metopic craniosynostosis at Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

His care throughout his stay was outstanding and were so grateful for the care provided by the team before, during and after the surgery.

Our son continues to be monitored by the team at Glasgow and we feel positive about the support we are provided by them throughout.

The nurses on the ward our son was on after his surgery (3A) were fantastic in the care provided.

Whilst in ICU we couldn’t have been more grateful for the care provided by Lauren who looked after him the night after his surgery.

Good Morning Nikki925

Many thanks for taking the time to leave such wonderful feedback regarding your son's recent admission here at the RHC in Glasgow.

It is fabulous to hear that you and your son were so well looked after and that you were all put at ease by the team here. Any stay in hospital is daunting, and especially ICU therefore it is wonderful that you were all so supported.

I hope your son is recovering well at home.

I will ensure and pass your thanks to the staff at Ward 3A, theatre team and the ICU team. I will personally pass your thanks to Lauren.

Take care

Alana Spence

Update posted by Nikki925 (a parent/guardian)

Thank you we’d appreciate Lauren receiving the thanks she hugely deserves as we’ve been able to thank the team and nurses but not her personally. It was the first time our son had been away from us for a night and she was so understanding and caring of him.
