"Support after having a stroke"

About: Occupational Therapy / Community Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Services / Angus Community Physiotherapy

(as a service user),

I had a stroke summer last year, received rehab in Ninewells hospital for 5 weeks when the physio team thought I would benefit from rehab at home. I initially started with physio 3 days a week and occupational health 2 times a week ,I found this very beneficial to my recovery. My team were very supportive - they discussed my goals and helped me reach them, giving me exercises that I realistically managed one by one. If I had bad days (which I had a few ) they were there to motivate me and after several months I have reached 99% of my goals thanks to the amazing team of physios and occupational health.
