About: Victoria Hospital / Rapid Access and Discharge

(as a relative),

During a short stay of a few days within Ward 9 at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy my Grandmother received some exceptional care from a particular Charge Nurse, Miranna. 

It was clear that Miranna is incredibly attentive, caring and passionate about people, both with patients and visitors alike. So much so that my daughter, who was visiting with me, suddenly expressed an interest in becoming a nurse and was desperate to ask Miranna questions. 

Despite current NHS pressures it was lovely to see really do have the core values of the NHS at heart.

I am delighted to hear that your Grandmother received exceptional care whilst in Ward 9 and I am sure Miranna will be especially gratefully that you have taken the time to mention her personally.

It is wonderful that Miranna's care, compassion and kindness as inspired your daughter to consider Nursing. I have been a Nurse for nearly 24 years and it is truly one of the best professions in the world! I hope your daughter pursues this!

I am sure the team and especially Miranna will be delighted to know that they have helped to make a difference.

I am Lisa Herd the SCN for Ward 9. I am delighted to receive your positive feedback in respect of your recent admission to Ward 9.

Miranna is doing well in her new role as a Charge Nurse and it is very encouraging that your grand daughter has been inspired to consider a career in Nursing.

I have been a Nurse for 12 years and it is a privilege to care for the patients in our care. NHS core values are very important and shape our practise and delivery of care.

I hope you are recovering well from your recent admission.
