"Helped me open up and identify my issues"

About: Royal Cornhill Hospital / Community Perinatal Mental Health Team

(as a service user),

In 2022, I was struggling with my mental health and was referred to perinatal mental health services.

Initially, I worked with Jen, who helped me open up and identify my issues. We had some good laughs during our six months together.

Then, in January 2023, I started working with Dr. Ellysia. We spent a year together, facing challenges and sharing laughs. I truly felt her dedication to helping me.

Although our therapy ended before we finished, the time spent from the reception to the therapy room was not wasted..

My role in Child and Adolescent Mental Health is to develop and improve pathways for young people to ensure they receive the most appropriate care at the right time.
