About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / 23 Hour Unit ( Ward 1A)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was in for dental treatment in ward 1A

My son has autism (non verbal) his admission was all planned out his own room to reduce noise ,he was given pre meds and taken down to theatre as soon as possible to minimise stress.

I can't fault anyone from the minute we arrived every member of staff were lovely and so understanding from the nurses to dentists, we were allowed home for lunchtime and my son coped so well with this I believe the organisation and understanding of the staff really helped with this and took alot of the stress and worry from myself and my sons father so thankyou to he lovely staff in 1AB

It was great to hear you were happy with the care and treatment your son received from our staff within the Royal Hospital for Children.

It was very encouraging to hear how the staff took the time to make your son feel comfortable and made the experience as stress free as possible in the circumstances.
