"Took time out to solve a problem"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward B3 Cardiology

(as the patient),

I found myself attending a non urgent appointment in the cardiology department, only to find myself having to stay in hospital.  It was in December.  I was admitted to Ward B3.

I found that the staff and doctors provided an excellent service despite it being a very busy ward and busy time of the year. There was one doctor, who was very helpful and went out of his way, to ensure that I was able to go home on Christmas Eve.  He had a very busy schedule on that day, however, he could took time out to solve a problem which very nearly resulted in me having to spend Christmas in hospital.

Dr Buckland was extremely helpful and caring.  Kevin the porter was very kind, efficient and made me feel at ease when he helped to transport me to my transport on leaving the hospital.

Hello my name is Lauren Henry, I am a clinical services manager for Cardiology in the Northern Trust. Sincere thanks for the feedback you have left for the team, this is very much appreciated.

I will pass on your feedback to Dr Buckland and Kevin from portering services. I understand the importance to spend time with family at Christmas. I hope you have had some rest and have made a good recovery.

Warmest wishes,

Lauren Henry
