"Attending for a scan"

Last month I had an appointment at Raighmore Hosp, Inverness for an MRI Scan. 

 Despite the appointment letter stating there was dedicated parking for the disabled, there wasn't.

The mobile scan unit didn't appear to have any heating on. I know the MRI scan has to be run in a cool environment but not the changing facilities.

The changing cubicle would have challenged the athletic skills of trained chimpanzee.

The staff on duty were polite but had limited English.
Despite my scan taking place over a month ago I  have had no feedback.

Lastly I doubt anything will come of this feedback exercise.

Dear februarywb79,

Very many thanks for taking the time to feedback about your recent MRI Van experience. I can only apologise for the difficulties you have encountered. I have shared this with our MRI Team Lead and assessed what we can do to improve these in the future.

Our Mobile Van moves between ourselves and other NHS sites, we have signage, but we think your experience highlights the need for something more permanent. The signs we have tend to get moved or sometimes blow away in strong weather. We will try and rectify this asap.

Space is very tight on the Vans, unfortunately we are unable to address this at the moment.

Our MRI Lead has spoken to the staff regarding your experience and will assess the temperature and if anything can be done.

Once again, we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experiences. I am sorry for the challenges you faced, and hope we improve this for patients in the future.
