About: Adult Mental Health Crisis Services / Crisis Team County South Adult Mental Health Services - Community (County) / Newark & Sherwood Local Mental Health Team (LMHT)

(as a service user),

I finally feel I have to complain about my treatment - or lack of treatment - after being pushed from psychiatrist to ringing crisis team to Northgate duty team.

My last conversation was with a member of staff on the crisis team saying I have a care coordinator. I had my appointment with my doctor, they explained I do not have a care co-ordinator.

I'm sick of the advice when you're feeling at your lowest and suicidal to be told by the crisis team to do mindfulness . Go for a walk or have a bath and a cup of tea, yes anyone who does not suffer with a mental health condition this is the advice we receive.

I've been asked to be admitted, I've been told no, so why ask me what will help? Leaving me feeling more worse than before I rang.

The service at the moment has only let me down time after time. 

I really hope for change but I can't see that happening in my lifetime. It's 2024 and I have to say it was better before they closed the hospitals and units
