I was recently admitted for a gynaecological procedure. I was feeling super anxious but my nurses Susan and Nishi made me feel very relaxed.
From being admitted to talking about the procedure and then distracting me with their general conversation along with other patients it was exactly what I think the other 5 ladies and myself needed within the room.
I don’t really remember the nurses from theatre or recovery with the medication but I remember I felt very well looked after.
She did some checks when I was back in the room to make sure I was ok and was offered something to eat and drink straight away. That coffee was amazing.
I got a little upset at one point and Susan came over and gave me some privacy with the curtains closed then took the time to reassure me and answer any questions I had and did not make me feel silly for getting upset.
Not once did I feel like I was and trouble to any member of staff within the unit and everyone seemed very friendly. The staff did look busy but they seemed to be very well organised knowing exactly what their job was.
Both Susan and Nishi are incredible nurses and have such an amazing attitudes and manner with patients. Everyone in the room mentioned how well these nurses worked together.
I cannot thank you all enough.
