I was invited to take part in a parent and baby group with incorporated baby massage. This took place over a period of 6 weeks. Various health visitors took turns introducing and discussing topics each week i.e. weaning, play, first aid. These were very helpful in providing further detailed information to help navigate the madness of parenthood!! The health visitors were a great help when answering any questions we had.
Not only were the topics great to get chatting about but it was really lovely to have some one-to-one time with my little baby while learning baby massage which we've incorporated in to our everyday routine. (Although baby's attention span may have been very short and he just wanted to roll over to see the other babies).
It was also lovely to see other parents and their babies and it was good just to know that we were all in the same boat and being able to have a good chat about how we are all getting on and discussing what we find best works for each of our little ones.
I thoroughly enjoyed attending the sessions (and very grateful that they were extended for a few extra weeks). I even think my wee one really enjoyed them too.
Thank you.
